Terms of use

Terms of use

The terms that apply to using this site, and how they relate to a build agreement.

These terms apply to your use of DevelopedDomains.com, operated by DNAccess. Using the site means you accept them. They are deliberately short and plainly written.

What this site is

DevelopedDomains.com is a reference resource about what can be done with a domain name, and a description of a domain development service offered by DNAccess. It is published for information. Nothing here is legal, tax, financial, or investment advice, and nothing here creates a professional relationship of any kind.

No professional relationship

Reading this site, using a calculator on it, or sending an enquiry through it does not make you a client and does not create an advisory, consulting, fiduciary, or any other professional relationship. No duty of care arises from publication. A relationship begins only when a project agreement is signed by both sides, and until then nothing published here is tailored to your circumstances, because your circumstances are not known.

Information published here

Considerable effort goes into accuracy. Figures are attributed to their sources and dated where they appear, and where evidence for a common industry claim does not exist, the pages say so rather than filling the gap. Even so, this subject moves quickly: prices change, registry policies change, search engine guidance changes, and studies are superseded. Information is published as accurate at the time of writing and no warranty is given that it remains current.

Decisions about a domain you own remain yours. Verify anything that matters against the primary source before acting on it.

The calculators and tools

The calculators are provided as they are and without warranty of any kind. They run in your browser, they apply ordinary arithmetic to the numbers you type in, and they are decision aids rather than valuations, appraisals, or forecasts. Their outputs are only as good as the inputs and the assumptions, both of which are stated on each tool's page so you can judge them. No result produced by a calculator here is a representation about what a domain is worth, what it will earn, or what it will sell for, and no liability is accepted for a decision taken on the strength of one. Check the arithmetic against your own figures before it matters.

Pricing on this site

Prices published for the audit, the build tiers, the add-ons, and the portfolio program are the current published prices for those services. They may change, and a change does not affect a project already agreed. Where a page describes third-party pricing, that is a description of another company's published rates at the time of writing, is not an offer, and is not controlled by DNAccess.

Scope, deliverables, timing, payment terms, revisions, and the refund position for an actual build are set out in the project agreement for that build. Where anything in a project agreement differs from a description on this site, the project agreement governs.

Content and ownership

The text, structure, design, logos, and code of this site belong to DNAccess, except where third-party material is quoted with attribution. You may read, print, and quote short passages with a link back. You may not republish substantial portions, scrape the site to train or populate another service, or reproduce the design or code as your own.

Trademarks, product names, and company names appearing on this site belong to their respective owners and are used to identify those companies and their services. Their use here is descriptive and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement in either direction.

Ownership of work produced for a client is a separate matter and is dealt with in the project agreement. The intent is straightforward: on completion and payment, the site files delivered to a client are the client's to keep, host, move, modify, or sell.

Acceptable use

Use the site for its purpose: reading it, and getting in touch if you want to. Beyond that:

  • Do not attempt to interfere with the site, its host, or its availability to anyone else, and do not probe, scan, or test the security of either.
  • Do not use automated tools in a way that degrades the site for other visitors, and do not bulk-harvest the content for republication or to train or populate another service.
  • Do not use any contact route here to send unsolicited commercial messages, and do not submit anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or deliberately misleading through a form.
  • Do not misrepresent yourself, impersonate anyone else, or claim an association with DNAccess that does not exist.

Access may be blocked where any of the above is happening, without notice and without an obligation to explain.

Outbound links point at primary sources so claims can be checked. Those sites are not controlled here, a link is not an endorsement, and no responsibility is taken for their content, their availability, or their practices. If you follow a link, the destination site's terms and privacy policy apply rather than these.

Limitation of liability

The site and everything on it, including the calculators, is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent the law allows, DNAccess is not liable for loss arising from use of this site or from reliance on information published here, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of a domain, loss of an opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or any other liability that the law does not permit to be limited or excluded.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time, and the version published on this page is the one that applies. Continuing to use the site after a change means the revised terms apply to that use. Material changes are not announced individually, so the sensible course is to read this page if you are relying on it.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A failure to enforce a term on one occasion is not a waiver of it on another. These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from use of this site, are governed by the laws applicable at DNAccess's principal place of business, and the courts there have jurisdiction. Where a project agreement is in place, its terms govern the project and these terms continue to govern use of the website.
